ABOUT US
Hirai-Kikaku is a performance group led by theatre performer Mitsuko Hirai, dedicated to planning and artistic creation.
Since 2018, she has collaborated with multimedia producer Rob Moreno from Media Kobo, forming a creative unit that explores the fusion of physical performance, language, and cutting-edge visual technology. Their work seeks to expand the audience’s sensory perception through innovative artistic expressions.
From 2020 to 2022, in response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, they shifted their focus to online live-streamed theater, adapting their creative process to the digital space.
Since 2023, they have resumed in-person stage productions, further integrating real-time chroma-key synthesis, live cameras, and projection mapping into their performances. While leveraging these advanced technologies, their productions remain deeply rooted in tactile and immersive experiences that engage the audience on a sensory level.
